In Guatemala, many street vendors sold mango w/ vinegar, lime, salt and pumpkin seed? What is this?
I am interested in preparing it and would like to find a recipe
It doesn’t have a name other than mango y vinagre. You can make it yourself quite simply. Slice or cut the mango like french fries-it can be green or ripe. I prefer ripe myself. Sprinkle with salt and cominos, (cumin) to taste. Then pour in a little vinegar and or lime juice. The street vendors sell it in little plastic bags, so they just shake the bag to mix it up, but you can do the mixing in a bowl. Some folks like the pumpkin seed, some like a dash of chili sauce such as Tabasco.
